The occasion that brings "Truth Is Not A Sentence" to its third appearance in the Seattle's art scene, is a collective exhibition Living Hybrids curated by Iosefatu Sua and Damion Hayes and part of the 2005 Red Bull Music Academy. Architect Nin Truong has transformed the Eitel building in downtown Seattle into a new home for the event and "Truth Is Not A Sentence" a laser, live and recorded video, and sound installation, responds to the changes.
Living Hybrids is an exhibition, which highlights emerging Seattle artists who actively engage with and re-interpret their environment. These artists have helped to create the visual and conceptual landscape that young Seattle residents inhabit. Whether through street art, album covers for local musicians, or via skateboard and web design, they are adept at creating an interface between visual, aural, physical and imagined worlds. Living Hybrids is a vital display of local contemporary art that intersects / interacts with the lives of young people in the diverse, multi-cultural city of Seattle.
